THE IDEA

We built Loft because we wanted something we couldn't find: a genuinely well-designed space in the middle of a real town, where you're connected to Ahangama, not isolated from it.

Most beachside places put you on the edge—you stay inside, the place becomes scenery from your window. We wanted different. Downtown. Walking distance to everything. Good beds. A team that remembers your name. A rooftop where you can breathe.

WHO WE ARE
We're a 7-room boutique hotel run by people who actually live here. Madu knows Ahangama deeply—the vendors, the breaks, the rhythm of the town. The team is invested in you having a good stay because this is our home.

We're designed-first but human-centered. Minimal but warm. We believe accommodation can be both beautiful and genuinely hospitable.

WHAT YOU EXPERIENCE

You arrive and Madu meets you. No sterile check-in—just a real person showing you around, telling you where to eat, which break's working today.

Your room is designed with care: good light, good materials, a bed that actually feels like home. Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

The rooftop space, open to all guests, is a place to unwind from the day, to do yoga at sunrise, or share the stories of the day at sunset. Thirty seconds away is the beach, the vendors, the cafes, the life.
You explore. Come back. Sleep well and do it all over again the next day. 

When you need something—a late checkout, recommendations, help with anything—nothing is too much for our team.
 

WHERE ARE WE? 
Loft Ahangama is  situated right in the middle of Ahangama town, on the Main Street, or the beach road, as some may know it. We are right opposite Ceylon sliders, a 30 seconds walk from Cactus, 30 seconds walk from La Mana, and 10 seconds walk from the surf. We are not on the beach front, but it takes roughly 10 seconds to walk from our front door to the waves. Basically there is everything you need, right on your doorstep. So, if you are looking for a boutique hotel in Ahangama, with well-designed rooms, comfy beds and a great shower,  close to everything, we are exactly what you are looking for.
